Commissioner Harold Haugh was re-elected to serve on the Macomb County Board of Commissioners in November of 2022; the 2023-24 term is Haugh’s third on the Board. Commissioner Haugh is currently serving on three retirement boards for Macomb County, overseeing more than a billion dollars; Macomb County Employees’ Retirement System (MCERS) as a member, Intermediate Retirees’ Medical Benefits Trust Board (IRMBT) as Vice-Chair and Retiree Health Care Board (RHC) as Chair. Haugh is Chairman of the Government Oversight Committee. Commissioner Haugh is Chairman of Continuous Improvement for Child Support Committee. Prior to being elected to the Board of Commissioners Haugh was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives where he served from January 1, 2009 until December 31, 2014, when he was term limited. Haugh also served on the Roseville City Council from 1998 until being elected Mayor in 2006, which he served as until 2008. He was a member of the Macomb Resolution Center from 2019-2021 and is currently the Macomb County Representative to United Way for Southeastern Michigan. Haugh has resided in Roseville for 50 years with his wife Catherine, together they have four children.
