Commissioner Michelle Nard was re-elected in November 2022 to her second two-year term as a County Commissioner. She represents Center Line and parts of Warren as the District 12 Commissioner.
Nard has 30 years of experience working in the medical and customer services fields. She is also the founder and CEO of a mentoring group, Zhanre Opportunity Enterprises
As a Commissioner, Nard is dedicated to bringing more transparency, trust, and dependability to local government. She also wants to see continued training for new and returning for those serving in or seeking to serve in elected populations to best allow priorities to match those of any area’s population, particularly as it changes. She would like areas of training to focus on diversity and cultural practices.
Nard has several children and grandchildren, as well as seven sisters and four brothers. She also remains close with her elderly mother. In her free time Nard can be found attending church, roller skating, reading books, watching football and helping people meet their basic goals.
