Sarah Lucido was elected to the Macomb County Board of Commissioners in November of 2022. She represents the 13th district, which covers all of Eastpointe, southeast Warren, and Southern St. Clair Shores. She currently serves on the 8 mile Drain Board.
Sarah has been a proud resident of Eastpointe for more than 35 years. She and her husband Rick have raised their three children in this south Macomb community. Sarah was first elected to Eastpointe City Council in 2015 and won reelection in 2019. In her time on council Sarah has served as the liaison to the Library Commission, Housing Authority, Beautification, Parks, and Planning Commissions. She also served as Board Vice Chair to both SEMSD (Southeast Macomb Sanitary District) and SMDA (South Macomb Disposal Authority).
Sarah is a founding member of the Association of Community, Fraternal, and Veterans Organizations, a nonprofit group that works with other organizations to produce Eastpointe’s Memorial Day parade and Veterans Day events. She is a contributing member of the Impact 100 Macomb and Oddfellows charitable organizations. She is an active participant in Eastpointe’s P.A.C.E (Police and Community for Equality) committee. Sarah also volunteers her time for various other organizations including the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Releaf Michigan.
Sarah’s chief priority is to ensure that the funds in our budget are being distributed fairly in all areas of Macomb County and to make sure that we are not allowing our residents’ hard-earned tax dollars to be wasted. She is also committed to the Macomb’s water and road infrastructure and ensuring that our vulnerable populations with disabilities and mental health needs are being adequately served.
