For 2025, the Older Adult Advisory Committee (OAAC) of the Macomb County Board of Commissioners will be alternating meeting locations to include local senior centers around the County. Their next meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the Clinton Township Senior Center, 40730 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township.
At this meeting, the OAAC will hear from two of the Commissioners that represent Clinton Township – OAAC Vice-Chair and District 7 Commissioner James M. Perna and District 8 Commissioner Antoinette Wallace. They will also receive a presentation about senior programs available at the Detroit Zoo and share important updates, information, and initiatives. The OAAC meeting is open to the public and all are invited to attend.
There are two opportunities for public participation at all meetings. The OAAC serves as an advisory committee to the Macomb County Board of Commissioners. Members are appointed to represent each of the 13 Commissioner districts, along with 4 at-large members. The committee generally meets monthly to learn and inquire about challenges, trends, concerns, and opportunities affecting older adults in the County and communicates with the Commissioners what is learned.
