The Older Adult Advisory Committee (OAAC) met on June 20 with Commissioner Barbara Zinner in attendance. Presenters included Jen Iannuzzi of the Harrison Township Senior Center Services, Charlie Shelton of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks Programming, and Jeffery Weinberg and Justin Campbell of the Michigan Moonshot Project. The schedule for the OAAC meetings for the rest of the year was also adopted. The remaining meetings are at the following locations and times:

This advisory committee to the Macomb County Board of Commissioners is comprised of older adults designated to serve by commissioners and representing each Commission district as well up to four at-large members. The committee meets to learn and inquire about challenges, trends, concerns and opportunities affecting older adults in the County and to communicate with the Commissioner what is learned. These meetings will take place throughout the County, so check to see when one is happening near you and participate!
