Human Services Board Now Seeking Applicants
The Board of Commissioners is accepting applications to fill one three-year term on the Human Services Board. The Human Services Board administers the provisions of the county’s social welfare services per Public Act 280 (1939). Operations of the Martha T. Berry Medical Facility are under the general control of the Human Services Board, as required under the Social Welfare Act. Additionally, the Joint Operation Agreement of January 22, 2009, specifies the operational control of the Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility belongs with the Human Services Board.This is a three year term beginning November 1, 2022, and the appointed candidate would serve with another appointed Macomb County resident and a delegate appointed by the State Welfare Commission.

Interested individuals should submit original, signed applications to the Board Office no later than 5 PM on October 3, 2022. Applicants should expect to attend the Government Oversight Committee meeting on October 12, 2022, at 3 PM for a public interview. Appointments will take place at the October 27th Full Board meeting.
