The Boards of Commissioners from Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties are very pleased to announce that the 2024 Tri-County Summit will be held on October 4, 2024 with the continued theme: “Moving Forward. Moving Together.” In addition to expanding on the issues discussed at our previous events, the 2024 Summit will focus on environmental issues such as disaster planning and climate change, as well as sustainability and regional transportation. We will continue to strategize ways to work together to improve and strengthen our region’s approach with these shared issues.
This year’s summit will be held at MacRay Harbor in Harrison Township, Michigan. This recurring, regional event is attended by top elected and other public officials from the three largest counties in Michigan as well as key representatives of business and members of the media. Attendees will have the opportunity to discuss regional issues, solutions and share best practices. The Tri-County Summit has a proven record of success as an excellent vehicle to build consensus and to drive innovation and progress.

Macomb, Oakland and Wayne county legislators met on Friday, September 8, at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial for the 15th Tri-County Summit. Attendees received an update on the progress towards regional goals on broadband equity, and they explored new ways to collaborate on behavioral health and electrification solutions. To finish the day, leaders from each county formed a behavioral health task force and committed to finding solutions to support an electric vehicle future.
